Circe was a female magician. She transformed the crew of Odysseus into pigs.

Ariadne gave her lover Theseus a cotton-bobbin, so he could find his way out of the Labyrinth.

Hercules got the order to catch the horses of Diomedes. These horses were nourished with humanmeat.
